Nash or Rhys?
book 2 announcement!
If you haven’t read Fragile Hopes yet, I’m about to spoil a couple of things for you. You can keep reading if you don’t mind spoilers, but if you do, save this newsletter for later!
In case you missed it, Harmony Hills is a three-book series, each interconnected standalone following a different Hayes brother. You’ve already met Ford, the grumpy firefighter, and hopefully his brothers Nash and Rhys have piqued your interest.
Nash is Ford’s younger brother and the owner of The Harmony Grove, the mountain resort where Ivy works. Nash might seem like an easygoing guy, sunshine personified (and he is!), but there’s more to him than meets the eye…
Rhys is Ford’s older brother and the town’s Deputy Sheriff. He’s also a single dad to the most adorable five-year-old, my Lexi girl. If you thought Ford was grumpy, Rhys is on a whole other level.
The good news is that both Nash and Rhys are getting their own books (which means I’m FINALLY writing a single dad romance!!! Everybody clap!!!).
The bad news is that you’ll have to wait until 2027 for one of those stories. Any bets on who’s next before the grand reveal?
You got it? Okay, here we go.
3… (this is a secret until I reveal it later on my socials, so shhh)
2… (I’m not joking when I say they’re my new favorite couple)
1… (I hope you love this book as much as I do)

If you remember Alma from Fragile Hopes, you may also recall that she’s Ivy’s friend who desperately needs to get away from a difficult situation. Ivy, being the absolute angel that she is, tells her that obviously she should come to Harmony Hills with her. Alma needs a job ASAP (that’s where Nash and his mountain resort come in) because…
She’s pregnant.
Gasp!!!!
That’s right, Endless Promises is a ‘she’s pregnant but it’s not his x he’s the dad who stepped up’ romance and I couldn’t be more in love with it. Alma and Nash are everything. EVERYTHING. It’s time for Cal to step aside because we have a new daddy in town.
I can’t wait to show you the cover (it’s my favorite of the series), but you’ll have to wait just a tiiiiiiny bit longer for that. For now, here are some tropes:
a VERY slow burn (you’ve been warned) with spice
age gap (she’s 25, he’s 33)
he’s her boss at a cozy mountain resort
pregnant single mom starting over in Harmony Hills
he’s the daddy who stepped up
sunshine x sunshine
he’s an extrovert x she’s shy
dual pov
I’d like to share a small note just so you know what to expect going in. Endless Promises is a slight shift from the pure coziness of Fragile Hopes. It still holds the same romantic, found family, and small town vibes (and, as always, a happy ending) because it’s part of the same series after all, but like The Brightest Light of Sunshine, it also explores a heavier theme.
Alma is a survivor of domestic abuse, and I approached her story with as much care and respect as I possibly could. Her healing journey is central to the book, which is also why the slow burn is so slow. I hope that context helps you decide if this story is for you.

I know many of you are eager for Rhys, but I promise the wait will be worth it (hopefully lol). All I can share for now is that his book is done. I wrote it shockingly fast and had way too much fun with it (which says a lot, considering I was working on two other books at the same time and Stressing).
If you’re curious about who his love interest could be, there may or may not be some huge hints in Endless Promises…
Thank you for reading this far. Stay tuned on my socials, where I’ll be sharing all sorts of fun teasers and screaming about how much I love Alma and Nash.
If you can and would like to, please consider preordering this baby. Preorders mean the world to indie authors and indie bookstores.
